Morreu no dia 18 de abril o ator Spencer Millingan. Sua morte, entretanto só foi divulgada no dia 26 de junho. Ele tinha 86 anos de idade.
Milligan é mais lembrado por ter interpretado o pai da série O Elo Perdido, entre 1974 e 19765. No final da segunda temporada, o ator entrou em uma disputa por ajuste salarial com os produtores, e acabou sendo substítuido por Ron Harper, que passou a interpretar o tio das crianças.
Para justificar sua saída, um ator usando uma peruca similar ao do ator, e de costas, gravou cenas que era mandando para fora do Elo Perdido, e as cenas apareciam nos créditos da abertura da terceira temporada.

Miligan morreu um mês após o ator Ron Harper, que entrou na série em seu lugar.
No cinema, atuou nos filmes O Dorminhoco (1973), O Flash da Morte (1974) e The Man From Clover Grove (1974). ele também apareceu em algumas séries de televisão, mas sua carreira diminuiu na década de 1980, e ele então passou a dedicar-se a dar aulas de atuação.
